Uno de los animales más misteriosos y perseguidos es la ballena. ¿Pero sabes por qué echa agua por su cabeza?

En la noche de los tiempos existía un Paraíso, al otro lado del mundo. Los animales más poderosos querían conquistarlo, pero tenían un problema: una inmensa masa de agua les separaba de su sueño. Entonces se acordaron de una ballena que surcaba los océanos montada en una resistente canoa. Se la pidieron prestada y el gran cetáceo se negó.

Pero la estrella de mar sabía que la ballena tenía una debilidad: le encantaba que le contasen cuentos. Y la estrella de mar le convenció para que se tumbase y comenzó a narrarle historias de príncipes, piratas y castillos de azúcar. Cuando la ballena estaba casi dormida, todos los animales se montaron en su canoa y se escaparon surcando las olas. Pero a la estrella de mar pronto se le acabó el repertorio de cuentos y la ballena se despertó, se dio cuenta de lo sucedido y entonces, llena de furia, comenzó una lucha encarnizada con la estrella.

Cuando terminaron la batalla, la ballena tenía un agujero en la cabeza y la estrella era más plana que una torta de aceite. El gran cetáceo comenzó a perseguir a su embarcación, pero de nada le sirvió. Y se quedó tan llena de rabia que le salió vapor de agua a presión por el agujero de su cabeza.

Vaporized anger

One of the most mysterious and pursued animals is the whale. But do you know why he spouts water out of his head?

Long, long ago there was a Paradise, on the other side of the world. The most powerful animals wanted to conquer it but they had a problem: an immense mass of water separated them from their dream. Then they remembered a whale that plied the oceans in a strong canoe. They asked him to lend it to them and the big cetacean refused.

But the starfish knew that the whale had a weakness: he loved for people to tell him stories. And the starfish convinced him to lie down and began to tell him stories of princes, pirates and sugar castles. When the whale was almost asleep, all the animals got onto his canoe and escaped through the waves. But the starfish soon ran out of stories and the whale woke up, realized what had happened and then, full of fury, began a fierce battle with the starfish.

When they finished the battle, the whale had a hole in his head and the starfish was flatter than a pancake. The great cetacean began to chase his boat but it didn’t do him any good.

And he was so full of anger that steamy water spouted out under pressure through the hole in his head.
