'One' de U2, la canción con la mejor letra de la historia del pop

La letra de la canción One, de la banda irlandesa U2, es la mejor de toda la historia de la música pop, por delante de las composiciones de The Beatles o Bob Dylan. Al menos eso es lo que se desprende de la encuesta que la cadena de vídeos musicales británica VH1 ha realizado entre sus televidentes, según recoge el periódico The Times.

Miles de espectadores de la cadena británica han votado por su letra de canción favorita. Por la que más les conmovía o con la que se sentían más identificados.

One, la obra que U2 escribió en 1992, ha obtenido el primer puesto. Concretamente por su frase "One Life, with each other sisters, brothers" (los encuestados también han especificado sus fragmentos favoritos).

Por detrás quedó la angustia contenida de The Smiths en su tema How Soon is now, en la que los británicos recitan "So You Go, And You Stand On Your Own, And You Leave On Your Own, And You Go Home, And You Cry, And You Want To Die", entre otras.
